McKay Assistance Program (MAP) Mission Statement
The purpose of The Learning Experience School’s McKay Assistance Program (MAP) is to remove financial barriers for current and future families and students of the School who are recipients of the McKay Scholarship program. Specifically, MAP partially funds the gap between TLE tuition and McKay Scholarship payments for a limited number of families demonstrating significant financial hardship. For some students, the financial aid provided via MAP may mean the difference between attending and being unable to attend The Learning Experience School.
McKay Assistance Program
Through M.A.P. (McKay Assistance Program), The Learning Experience School awards families who demonstrate a financial need financial assistance to help bridge the gap between the McKay Scholarship and school tuition. The Learning Experience School has chosen TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services) to conduct financial need assessments for families who may need assistance in paying for tuition. Based on the information that you provide, TADS will calculate an estimated amount that your family can contribute to educational expenses.
Returning families receiving aid must apply for financial aid yearly. New families must complete their financial aid application once the student has been accepted. The TADS on-line financial aid application is currently available.
Registration for returning students has begun. Open registration, for those new students who wish to attend the 2012-2013 School Year, begins 2/1/2012. (The Learning Experience School does not award financial aid to foreign citizens who do not file US taxes). Regardless of marital status, both parents must submit a financial aid application and the required financial documentation. In order to be considered for financial aid, parents currently employed must be able to provide proof of employment. Please be advised that M.A.P. funds are limited. Once the funds are exhausted, families would need to wait for the following school year to apply.

The following supporting documents must be submitted to TADS via mail, fax or uploaded directly to TADS. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT ANY PAPERWORK TO THE SCHOOL!
> A copy of both parents’ or guardians’ 2010 complete 1040 federal tax returns.
> A copy of both parents’ or guardians’ 2011 (if available), complete 1040 federal tax return with all schedules and W2’s.
> If either parent or guardian is self-employed, a copy of 2010 and 2011 (if available), complete corporate tax return.
